I am so tired of the rain. The lovely little break last week just made me realize just how ready I am for it to be done for a while.

I have been “making” lots of “new” recycled yarn lately! There is cashmere in lots of yummy colors, including Lobelia, Fire Engine, Petal, Sand, and Ocean. I also have some cotton/cashmere blend in Sweet Potatoe Pie and the weirdest hemp/cashmere blend in Seashell that used to be a Ralph Lauren sweater. There are some cool wool blends too, in Carrot Stick, Sweatshirt, ’50′s Aqua, Petunia, Grass, Sunshine, Cream Soda, and Fuschia. There is also a really pretty 100% Merino in Forest. And there is more trying very hard to get dry outside, tucked in out of the rain, and more waiting to go into the bath once that gets dry, including some cottons, linens, and more wool.

I also want to let you know about our upcoming classes next week. We have a 3 week, Two-At-A-Time-Toe-Up-Magic-Loop Sock with master knitter Anne Berk, 6/3, 6/10, and 6/17  from 6:30pm-8:30pm for $50 and a Learn to Dye Yarn class with Sharon Spence the indie dyer and owner of Stitchjones yarns on Sunday, 6/5 from noon-3pm for $50. This class includes everything but the yarn to dye. Please just give us a call or stop by the studio to sign up for either of these classes! We would love to have you!

We will be closed on Sunday for the holiday but open again on Wednesday. I hope you enjoy the long weekend and get some knitting in!
